1) Who can take part in treasure hunts?
Only sleuths who belong to a detective agency can take part in treasure hunts. You must be subscribed in order to join an agency. For more information about subscribing, see the Subscription FAQ.
back to top2) How does an agency start a treasure hunt?
To begin a hunt, one agency member must visit the boss of the appropriate political faction.
- You must have at least +40 standing points with the faction boss to activate a hunt for your agency.
- Starting a hunt will drop you by -10 standing points with the faction boss.
Your agency can only join a particular hunt once. After that, all members are working together to complete the hunt before your rival agencies do!

Once your agency has joined an active hunt can advance it by completing favors for the required townspeople in the correct order.
- You must have at least +25 standing points with the appropriate person after completing a favor for them.
- Getting that person's help with the hunt will cost you -10 standing points.
4) When do new hunts become available?
When an active treasure hunt for a given faction is completed be somebody, it can no longer be joined or advanced by any other agencies. New hunts are be created for any faction that does not already have an active hunt at the following times: 6am, 2pm, 10pm Mountain Times.
