Greetings All,
Following on from Mercey's thread about missing her birthday, and with an approving nod from Secret Squirrel, I am pleased to announce the "March Madness Showdown Scramble"
This will be a series of eight Sleuth Showdowns which I will be coordinating over two weekends in March (obviously).
As with previous hosted showdowns, there will be special prizes for the winners (I'll let Secret Squirrel announce those closer to the time), but this time there will also be an opportunity for your agency to win something.
Depending on your finishing position in each showdown, you will be awarded scramble points for your agency. At the end of the eight showdowns, the agency with the most scramble points will win a special agency item. This will probably be something unique, but will definitely be something worth having (again, Secret Squirrel will tell us more closer to the time).

Thanks Mercey end TJ for your support on this. Since the issue was raised I thought it might come across as unfair if ID would accept any points earned by an agent that had left....

Dev,
It is fair if you plan on competing, but like i said earlier, everybody could have quit their agencies and i guess it would not matter since there could be no one in agency, but the agency still gets the reward??

Just to head something off before it becomes an issue.
Scramble points (as clearly pointed out at the beginning of this thread) will be awarded depending on your showdown finishing position - NOT related to whether you were the highest scoring registered player.
So, to make this as clear as possible;
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 1st place, they get 50 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 2nd place, they get 48 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 3rd place, they get 46 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 4th place, they get 44 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 5th place, they get 42 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 6th place, they get 40 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 7th place, they get 38 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 8th place, they get 36 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 9th place, they get 34 scramble points.
If a registered player finishes the showdown in 10th place, they get 32 scramble points.
etc., etc., etc., - Do I really need to list them all?
Every player that starts a showdown will get a minimum 10 scamble points (regardless of whether they finish the showdown, falsely accuse, quit, or get disqualified)
Good Luck to all who take part, be they registered for scramble points or just taking part in the showdowns.
Let's have a fun weekend!

RESULTS FOR MARCH MADNESS SHOWDOWN SCRAMBLE No. 1
#1: John Bear (50 scramble points for Bloodhounds)
#2: Rick Dangerous (48 scramble points for Bloodhounds)
A somewhat lonely start to the competition!
Hopefully more people will be able to make the second showdown at 7am Saturday (server time).

in the past when Dev would host prize sd, the host would not be eligible for prizes if they took 1st place in showdowns, obviously this event is "fixed".

Well as true as that may be, Dev is a MOD and JB is not. Further, when TJ hosted the Triathlon, our agency was not exempt from his work. MAYBE BECAUSE WE WERE ONLY ONE OF TWO WHO PARTICIPATED.
