What does "Hearsay" means and ...

Hi All,

I've been noticing about the proofs I get for the killers and I was wondering if anyone here knows what does "Hearsay" means? This is how it appears in my case file tab:

Seen Leaving Scene (Hearsay) Testimony: Yvonne Leatherman

and a second question:

Does anyone else noticed why does the suspect's avatar changes before and after they died?

So from now onwards, if I get such proofs with "Hearsay", then I should continue asking the rest, in case this proof is a fake Witness Evidence, who knows, as Gil Grissom in CSI always said:

Physical Evidences Never Lies, Only Peoples (Witness Evidence) Lies

LOL, got to love Gil and Gibbs. Two of my favorites. Oh yeah Abby rocks too :)

On further checks, I found:

hearsay evidence
noun
Definition of HEARSAY EVIDENCE
: evidence based not on a witness's personal knowledge but on another's statement not made under oath

Wow! So "Hearsay" Witness Evidence could purely be just rumors, so its something to be really careful on.

Ohh I missed the Christmas Tree. The last one I had was 4 years ago and it was just a tiny tree.

Hi Joseph and Mercey! Just like to inform you that any proof counts - thus hearsay proof also - but since it's only one star evidence, you have to be sure to get more evidence until you reach the 3 star level (when you have only 1 star physical evidence like a handprint). There's no such thing like fake evidence to my account...

I've notice the avatar changing too, when suspects die!!! Maybe the Admin ran out of avatars-in-shining-light... meaning he has no time to create them (lol)...

Happy Holidays to you all out there!

Ohh Mrs. Jada, I was just wondering because he went to include the "Hearsay" into the proofs and "Hearsay" happens to mean rumors, so although now there's no such thing as fake witness evidence, maybe implicating that "Hearsay" Witness Evidence could be fake in the future updates which as for now, it serves as an upfront warning, so for me, whether there is such thing or no such thing, I'll still ask everyone for proofs to get the 3 stars I need. ^_^

I recently had a case where both of my fake alibi's got this "Hearsay" WE... but that just gave them both one star each. So in nutshell Hearsay can't be relied upon to accuse... Nice find Joseph...... but I wonder if anyone here can answer your second question about the changing avatar of the deceased...

Thanks Really Red.

As a disgraced doctor, I really like to analyze things and I usually think that not everything in this game is randomly generated and there must be a logical reason why things was designed in such way in the first place.

As for why I thought "Hearsay", maybe there was a logic reason for it, like:

1) Physical evidence - it can point to real alibi suspects of both the living and the dead. It can also point to fake alibi suspects of both the living and the dead.

2) Witness evidence - that it would be a logical reason for it to point in the same way like physical evidence.
