I've been noticing about the proofs I get for the killers and I was wondering if anyone here knows what does "Hearsay" means? This is how it appears in my case file tab:

Seen Leaving Scene (Hearsay) Testimony: Yvonne Leatherman

and a second question:

Does anyone else noticed why does the suspect's avatar changes before and after they died?

hearsay means that there is no actual evidence other than somebody saying that it is so.

Thank you very much Mercey. Now knowing the meaning of that, it really haunts me, meaning if this proof gives me a 1 star, does it mean I need to find another proof? Could this "Hearsay" proof be a misleading Witness Evidence?

hmmm, that is a very good thought. Now since we get stars for people that have false aliby but aren't actually the guilty one, that might be something to take into consideration.

So from now onwards, if I get such proofs with "Hearsay", then I should continue asking the rest, in case this proof is a fake Witness Evidence, who knows, as Gil Grissom in CSI always said:

Physical Evidences Never Lies, Only Peoples (Witness Evidence) Lies

Wow! So "Hearsay" Witness Evidence could purely be just rumors, so its something to be really careful on.

Hi Joseph and Mercey! Just like to inform you that any proof counts - thus hearsay proof also - but since it's only one star evidence, you have to be sure to get more evidence until you reach the 3 star level (when you have only 1 star physical evidence like a handprint). There's no such thing like fake evidence to my account...

I've notice the avatar changing too, when suspects die!!! Maybe the Admin ran out of avatars-in-shining-light... meaning he has no time to create them (lol)...
