WARNING! Accuse with less than 3 stars of Evidence at your own Risk!

Some corner cutters amongst you had discovered some safe ways to accuse suspects without first gathering 3 stars of evidence.

In sticking with the original intent of the game (not to mention our hitherto faultless game documentation), it is no longer safe to ever accuse with only 1 or 2 stars.

Good luck out there...

and Happy Sleuthing.

Yes, in fact when you do a search on ": Caine", there will be:

Disgraced Doctor: Caine
Reformed Burglar: Caine
Retired Lawyer: Caine
FIR: Caine
DPD: Caine
MD: Caine

They're all belongs to me, as I created them right after Achievement Prizes been released in order to find out which background gets which prizes for achievements. So far, I only have time to login DD: Caine once in a while to test out the new rules after 3 stars Warning been implemented and to understand the game better in a lower xp point of view. Actually I think all players need to try out other backgrounds as well before realizing which background suit them best. ^_^

please lets leave the game as it is it is difficult enough now. this game was supposed to be easier than noir otherwise have it named "noir the second"

How is changing cases offered to those with more game expereince making it harder? One would figure the more expereince you have the more skill points you have earned. The better your skill set is to routinely do cases at a higher level.

question what if you have two fake alibis and no other evidence period? then what do you do? i ran out of charm, intimidation, and always run low on my gifts. there were no witness evidence, and only one star of physical against two fakes. and to top it all off it was a favor case and i had to quit. thanks for the help hugs CJ

You missed PE at CS or maybe a matching weapon to a fake. You will always get 3 stars. You can always get a int/charm glove or ring to boost your manipulations.

Also what case level? you may have missed a yellow and not located all suspects to get prove from.

All cases are solvable sometimes just not as profitable as others.

Interesting discussion, but here's a couple of points to think about;

1) By restriciting the types of cases offered (at whatever level) you will be restricting a player's choice. For subscribed players, limiting their choice effectively devalues their subscription.

2) Many players have a limited amount of time they can devote to Sleuth. For these players, the only way they can solve three favour cases a day is to quickly do beginner cases between each favour case.

One potential compromise could be for your initial case-giver (Desk Sgt or Reporter) to always offer at least one beginner case, while at the same time your highest level case-givers will always offer at least one case at your highest level. That way Joseph would always be offered at least one AI case, and people with limited time would always be able to do beginner cases between favours.

Yes, yes... as I said, it was just a thought! And I did't expect many to like it.

However, when I play a game and get to, say, level 10, I have to deal with level 10 difficulty and not level 1 (at least that was how all games I've ever tried were built). If I can't manage level 10 difficulty than it says GAME OVER, my score shows somewhere and I get a chance to start fresh with level 1.

Only here one can still be called a newbie after solving 4000 cases.
The limited time `excuse` I've heard before, but it's actually no excuse. Once you're experienced enough and have a good set of skills, solving a beginner case can not possibly offer any satisfaction.
I keep reading on boards about `hard work` needed in order to advance in the game... I'm confused, I thought this was supposed to entertain the player.
Now since people work hard on keeping their standings high through favor cases and then do boring cases between favors, where's the fun I wonder?!

Think you missed the point about limited time.

It's not about gaining satisfaction. For players who have limited time (say, during the working week), it's about getting your favours done to build standings.

Having the abillity to quickly do three beginner cases (which can often be solved purely on WE without searching homes) can enable busy people to still keep their standings up.

Yeah... got that. What I didn't get is WHY?! What's the point in all that?
I play the game to have fun and enjoy the cases, don't understand why someone would try to build standings without getting any fun out of it.

However, it's not my business. Better stick to the mysteries I get paid to solve.
