Like is says: a Suggestion Box.
[be polite, I meant GAME suggestions!]
That's not to say we haven't got lots of ideas for things in the pipelines, but I'm sure there are lots of players out there who have lots of ideas about how to make the game a better / more interesting one, and we're always interested to hear what those ideas are.
Especially if they're explained clearly and constructively. :)
Who knows maybe you'll see an idea of yours up in lights :)

icaughtyou,
While the Admin preferred not to reveal in advance what case the players were to get before they start the SD, this implementation would be fair enough, because the players can choose whether they want to do the SD or are they able to take it on based on the majority players' exp that has joined the SD.
or perhaps I should clarify better regarding my suggestion on this, as previously suggested by someone else, if this someone else could create a private SD and invite players to join in, that would be great (sorry Marco, had to re-suggesting your suggestion).
For me, either way will work, as when the agency I'm in is doing Treasure Hunt and my agency Director is online, if both of us doesn't get the favor needed, I think it would be fair for us to challenge each other to a fair SD, rather than joining the public SD that has a limit of lower cases.
Yeah, that's what I'm trying to suggest, let players create their own private SD, perhaps similar to the number of favor cases offered to subscribed (only can create 3 private SD per day) and non-subscribed players (only can create 1 private SD per day) but not limited to how many private SD they can join as long as they meet the minimum requirement to join one.

Is it just me, or does the coat analysis make no sense for man/woman determination? Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes that the handprint told you some kind of clue about the suspect. So, here's my suggestion:
Handprint analysis: determine if heavy or slim build
Shoe analysis: determine if man or woman (since all the females in this game wear heels and all the men wear flats)
Fabric analysis: (new invention) determine if person has expensive or cheap taste in fashion, to be determined about each suspect when interviewing them and show in suspect file

Suggestion for showdown:
1) Cancel the showdown when there's less than 2 players in the showdown.
2) Disable player's sleuth mail when the showdown start and enable player's sleuth mail when ALL participants has completed the showdown.
Hope Admin will consider ...

well Joseph i agree to your first idea as many players quit at the last moment and a single player thinking that he/she is having companions in the SD remains joined and then they have to play again......
but then the 2nd suggestion i dont think the mails should be stopped during the SD as we have different players in an SD, someone finishing off the SD in 3,4mins whereas some players take more than 15mins to finish off.... and the players finishing off the SD early usually pass their time replying to mails ....
And afterall mails are a personal affair anywhere in the world so its an individual right either to have a look at mails during the SDs or not.....so it shouldn't be interfered......
I also strongly agree to ICY's previous post on 20th Jun that no change should be implemented in the case-levels during the SDs as that would come hard on many newbies......
Happy sleuthing......

The reason showdowns should be cancel when there's less than 2 players in the showdown is because under the showdown FAQ, it clearly stated:
2) How many Sleuths can take part in a Showdown?
There is no upper limit to the number of Sleuths taking part in a Sleuth Showdown. There must be at least two participants or the Showdown will be cancelled.
and for the second reason is because during the only time when I was there in the SD Lobby, a player decided not to join because other players in the SD Lobby wasn't joining and also because no one will PM her who is the killer if she couldn't solve the case. In such cases, those who finish first but doesn't have a good game time can actually share with other participants on who is the killer, then they can get better game time. That's cheating.
Not to mention that certain groups of players always choose certain particular groups of players as their competitor in the SD, that's why I suggested Admin to allow subbed players to create private SDs (3 per day) and unsubbed players to create one private SD per day. While unsubbed players shouldn't be allowed to change the case level of the private SD, subbed players should be allowed to create based on case level, total game time & min exp of participants.
Basically speaking, I would like to create an AI showdown, with 40 mins game time and would ONLY like to play against (let say for example) the players who have unlocked AI cases themselves.

Joseph,
I too can't stand it when someone asks me to give them the answer in the SD.. I will not do that, the point of the showdown is to win!! If someone needs another player to SM the answer then they shouldn't play!!! If someone asks me again for the answer then I will give them them WRONG suspect and hope they get a false accusation!!! And if any others have a problem with that then too bad so sad, so don't ask me for the answer!!

well Joseph agree to your current post....... as you have clearly mentioned for the separate private SDs ....... and yep whatever you said if that happened with you when you joined the SD , its really irritating and unfair, it shouldn't be allowed .... and even i would say that Single person SDs should be cancelled by default.......
Icy, giving answers for the SD , again is a private affair......... If someone gives the answer to a newbie, its their wish and if someone doesn't, even thats fine....And i think there will be very few people who would directly ask you or someone else for the mail, better ask them to leave calmly.......and still if they persists , teach them the lesson you want to teach.....lol

Red,
if someone gets a FA then they will learn their lesson, too many goofballs in this game already, and there are several detectives who log in day after day after day, and can't even solve more than 1 case, yet they continue to be logged in all day long.. I won't call out any names, but they know who they are!!! These people also try to chat with people and it is such a bother when they pop up during cases or showdowns. Another reason why I chose to IGNORE everybody...

Referring to JChens comment about the sd frequently asked questions, yes it does say that there must be two players or the sd will be cancelled. But there is anomaly here as further down, there is this:-
Total Number of Players (Including You) Challenge Points awarded to Winner
1 0
2-4 1
5-8 2
9+ 3
This, then suggests that a sd will go ahead with only one player, and maybe with regards to newbies, it gives them a chance to do a sd without the pressure of playing against someone else. Or maybe, someone is quite happy to do a sd on their own, and that is their choice.
