Suggestion Box

Like is says: a Suggestion Box.

[be polite, I meant GAME suggestions!]

That's not to say we haven't got lots of ideas for things in the pipelines, but I'm sure there are lots of players out there who have lots of ideas about how to make the game a better / more interesting one, and we're always interested to hear what those ideas are.

Especially if they're explained clearly and constructively. :)

Who knows maybe you'll see an idea of yours up in lights :)

And I am saying TJ that we do not manipulate or block a hunt! So if that is what you think, well, carry on! Not sour grapes because you are not such a strong agency as you were when you were with Trei?

Well now, lets present that facts on what took place just in case some of those out there in SoM land missed it. You know, inquiring minds want to know sort of thing.

First of all, for three days, three agencies took hunt after hunt which is cool if you want to blow out your standings. You all know perfectly well PIC hunt on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Well, Friday comes and 3 hunts all taken. 1 agency was kind enough to finish one so PIC had hunt available to do Saturday morning.

Oh but other two hunts still sitting there. Ok, no problem you have all day to finish hunt. All agents on, all sitting at favors but DANG, none of you get favor to finish. Ok, so here comes TH regeneration time 2 agents from each agency online, sitting at favors, and DANG, can't finish.

OH WAIT NOW, right before game reset, your agents misteriously got the favors needed to close the hunt. GOD WHAT A LUCK BREAK FOR YOU so you could immediately open another hunt.

You were on at game reset, I stayed up 24 hours to watch what you were going to do. RD found out the hard way, you signed off because TJ opened one of the hunts, I jumped RD's and opened other.

Now, first want to say that it was ME AND ONLY ME that jumped RD, others in PIC had no idea what was going on. They just hleped me out when they came on because that is what agencies do.

Now, as for TJ not being able to challenge hunts, think again. As you and your little crowd do, you don't have to be in home agency to challenge a hunt. He was there with me through the whole thing doing what he could. And since we are blatenly coming out with things, RD is the one I was taling about im my earalier post and let me tell you this much, you might have thought that TJ wouldn't have been on but guess what, I AM ALLLLLLL DAY and I watch.

So, this leaves us at a delema. No jumping hunts not bad if done fairly. Having more than one detective you work, no not bad. Blocking hunts, well I use to think it was bad but now I think it is just a sign you put up on your agency door that says "HEY I WANT YOU TO

I watched your agent do it, I was watching their case count (which they was on a favor count)before 2 pm server and after hunt was closed, That person was the only person to do a case in your agency. and They sat on it for over 2 hours.

Hoots with laughter as i can see someone is jealous

JUMP ME" and that it will be.

I also want to mention that this is me talking and no one in PIC has any idea I am saying this.

Bessie, I think you guys are doing great so no worries ok

I dont wish to prevent agencies from hunts and I will be sure to pass along you are the one who instructed ID and IF how to do so.

Well I have not been the only person who has seen this and is upset about it.

There will be more messages sent that this practice needs to stop. I may have challenged hunts but I did not attempt to lock up or limit hunts available for agency to do or make ti to benifit me or others I choose. Which you and Blue have benifited from I may say so I also will remember that

You got those hunts becasue they where prevented from being generated at 2pm. UMMMMMMMM to save for a time you are one I wonder???????

1) You accused Ivory Fox and Ivory Draigh of blocking hunts because they didn't finished hunts until after 6am, 2pm, 10pm.
2) You blamed me for not noticing how IF and ID does their hunts because its known that I don't play on weekends.
3) You accused my agency to benefit from their blocking hunts.
4) You accused me of instructing IF and ID to block hunts.

There, isn't that clear enough that you're accusing and then trying to cover it up?

I have to say that we do not and never have blocked hunts on purpose.
This is due to the time differences.
Two in our agency are 7-8 hours ahead of server time, which means that when I get up in the morning server time is 10PM, and I try to get the favour required by doing SM just before I have to leave for work.
One agent is 8 hours ahead of me, so at 2 PM it will be 6PM for that agent, just returning home from work.
There is only one agent who has about the same times as server time.
The rest, as you can see at their profile don't have enough standings with a lot of townies, so that leaves just a few agents taking turns in hunts.
We do have to sleep and work sometimes, so that's also why we can't finish as fast as we would like to.
As for me, due to circumstances I can't be on as much as I would like to, and did before, so when the hunt is still on, I try to get the favour by doing just SM, and not SD's.
Not everyone feels comfortable doing SD, so we rather wait and hope one of the others will comeonline to do the next step.

I really hope this is enough for anyone to realize that we are not, never did and never will block hunts for other agency's.
If you really had monitored ID you would have noticed this yourself.

I'm kind of half-reading this, as I tend not to read any PM's posted on Boards. Posting Private M's publicly is one of my pet hates.

That aside.

Could have saved myself and Ben some time introducing some seasonal flavour and just let you guys amuse yourself slugging it out. Anyway I'll be asking a few people what this all means...

... don't call me I'll call you!

Heh I now kinda understand the hunt-blocking thing. Agencies dominating hunts is no big deal. There's a balance there somewhere to be had between well organized agencies dominating hunts - which is fair enough, they ARE meant to be competitive not organized turn taking events organized over scones and herbal tea - versus a game mechanic that can be manipulated to some agencies advantage/disadvantage.

I would reiterate that treasure hunts are meant to be competitive, but over my hols I will explore with Ben whether he wants to change anything about this mechanic.

In the meantime as far as I'm concerned this is just a case of clever people doing clever things - whether it's ethical or not is purely conjecture.
