Hidden Compartments

Sleuth Admin
Sleuth Admin

Just when life was starting to get easier for all you hard working Sleuths...

Suspects and Victims in harder mysteries have recently taken to keeping some of their more sensitive belongings in hidden compartments and secret rooms. A smart Sleuth would be well advised to spend a little extra time when investigating crime scenes and suspect homes .

Note: Hidden Compartments only exist in "Hard" Mysteries and up.

Note 2: This update has actually been in place for several days, and it appears that VERY few Sleuths had managed to spot the hidden compartments to date... So, if you are one of those who have, congratulations!

Happy Sleuthing, and keep your eyes peeled!

Hmm,

how are they hidden? Not showing up using the tab key, not turning into a finger when over the hotspot, or hiding under dead bodies?

Hopefully one of them has X-ray Specs we can pick up that show us all the black hair on black background or yellow note behind the plant and other stuff that can't be found without tab or HTML traces.

So my suspects today were not delusional.

I actually felt that there was something strange in that room today. I tried to find out what that "THING" was, and it appeared to be a.... but I didn't mamange to... whoah. I'll say no more.

I'll be even more thorough next time.

I am intrigued by how "hidden panels" are going to be any different than any other clues that are put in impossible to click places.

It's certainly possible to have regions of the UI that are invisible to normal clients - the first few pages of "Not Pr0n" demonstrate this, but Ben has already challenged our sleuthing skills and our browser's capabilities by hiding yellow notes at the absolute corners of the visible frame.

Realy hard to find clues can be fun but pixel hunts can become a bore.

haha, no wonder the handprint and note was hidden and i couldn't find it, end up getting an FA because of it.

Though my FA costs $390000, i'd say: Awesome Job, Ben! ^_^

Ben, I've found the hidden compartments, but I'm still missing a sample from the suspect's house. What should I do?
