Challenge Points and Coats

Sleuth Admin
Sleuth Admin

As of now, Multi Sleuth Showdowns and Treasure Hunts both award Challenge Points to the winner(s). As you have no doubt noticed, Challenge Points are a requirement for purchasing a new type of equippable item, COATS.

Additional Notes:

* Coats are gendered! You can only buy or wear a coat that fits your detective's gender. (maybe this rule will be relaxed the next time Mardi Gras rolls around).

* Although it is possible to play a Multisleuth Showdown by yourself, you will only earn Challenge Points if there is at least one other opponent. So round up your friends!

* On the other hand, the winning agency in a treasure hunt will all gain Challenge Points, regardless of how many other agencies are competing.

* You cannot currently store a coat in an agency equipment locker. This feature is coming in the next few days (still haven't decided if they will take the same number of slots as a gift).

* You cannot currently take a coat on or off. This may be added in the future, but I haven't decided whether or not it would be preferable that you could do this.

* Coats do not currently degrade. Sometime over the next few days, they will start degrading with usage. By usage, I mean that anytime you gain a benefit from a coat, it will wear out a bit. Eventually a coat will fall apart.

I hate Handprints as PE, especially when you have 3 of them, you're completely dependent on the police clerk and she s**** :-(

Ahem Joseph, if read correctly you are still missing 3 questions (alibis) that need answering from the same source??? ;)

Plus the fact that if i use manipulation i drop my standing with said townie...like i said a waste of resources for one case only.

Ben you really need to consider another option... making sure that there are not multiple evidences of the same type in one case, or providing the option for us to use other sources for finger print options. Unless of course you are out to make sure us seasoned detectives will get that missed deadline or quit case...(unfair in my opinion).

Also please ensure that those who have access to RH cases don't get the pathetic option of only SH in some cases offered. Maybe drop the level at which we can reach those all elusive AI cases??

Psst Lechat try 4 or 5 of the same PE in one case;)

^_^ Hi Night Owl,

There's always an option to check the sample first or verify the alibi first if both calling for the same townie. But yeah, its a waste of resources, that's why the standings is not cap at 40.

hmm...I will get pissed too if i get 3 handprints and 5 alibi with police clerk, more than 3 times in a row.

Now that we can store coats in the locker is there anything to stop someone joining an agency, taking a coat out of the locker and leaving again?

We're not too concerned about the odd bottle of perfume or cologne but coats aren't cheap.

Why not have a seperate coat locker?

Each agent could be allowed to store two coats.
Coats can only be used by the agent that stored them.

@Droid:

You can choose not to invite players that could join your agency to steal coats.

@Droid:

I meant don't promote them beyond Rookies, because stated in "Help", Rookies can't use Item Locker, but then I've demoted a member in ZO to Rookie to try it out, it looks like Rookie can also pick up Coat but not supposed to, according to the rules.

@Sleuth Admin:
hehe...so, there you have it, the rules given that Rookies aren't supposed to be able to use Item Locker need to be change. or perhaps, can directors set our own ranking system and which rights is given to different ranks?
