Is Newbie boosting cheating?

Droid
Droid

If Id dump a whole pile of solved IH and RH cases in my agency for the rookies to take is it cheating?

Will it put them off playing for real because they don't get any skill points after the massive injection they get for "solving" those cases?

I said mean BY your second post, I understand the content in it. What I do not understand is how it relates to you playing alone. That is what I don't quite get.

Oh, are we helping come up with Mission Statements for Joseph? I have one:

"Emphasizes enlightenment for the student. Build up a halfway decent agency, kick everyopne out into the street. And then thats when the master plan kicks in. Form a completely new agency, and then whine about competetion when someone opens a treasure hunt that we have already opened because now we only have 3 agents and our old agency would have had enough quality people to compete with the best of them"

Is there gonna be a special prize if Joesph takes one our suggestions. Please tell me its a free sub to shades!

Ooooo Ooooo I got one. I have a suggestion:

"Emphasizes the screwing of the student/agent. Brings in Newbies, lets them get to know each other. Truly helps them appreciate the game and form bonds with other players in the agency. Gets them to a point where they couldn't have gotten on their own. And right when they start to have fun, they log in to find out they have been booted from their agency and the whole place has been dissolved. That's the definition of Zen."

Is that clear?

Mission Statement:

Zen Oracles = Emphasizes enlightenment for the student by the most direct possible means, accepting formal studies and observances only when they form a divine communication or revelation.

It means I'm willing to spend my time, my cases to help new players to achieve higher standings, mostly because newbies love to ask funny questions, and if the players who joined ZO, for example (Rose) managed to reach SH or even RH, then she could start her own agency while leaving her spot for another new player. That's what ZO's mission statement meant.

Its because I treat ZO's members nice, doesn't mean that I can accept slowness in achieving that goal. and BTW, i thought humans are selfish, and having someone to help you reach higher goal, but you doesn't appreciate, what else can i say?

Saying it in the nicest way: I hope you all can unlock SH/RH asap & maybe one day you decided to create your own agency and help your own members.

Saying it in the nastiest way: Why can't you do as many SH/RH cases i gave you so that i can help other members?

OMG. I have absorbed the Zen. I have reached a moment of clarity. I finally understand and it makes perfect sense now :S

Joseph, are you paying people back for the time they wasted reading that? Cos you owe me about 2 minutes now, and I still don't get your point.

If you honestly thought that MS was plain english, you should probably look up 'plain' in a dictionary.

And, on the point of this whole 'Newbie Boosting' debacle, in Noir, you cant just throw the hardest cases possible at players, they can only play them when they have enough exp. And i would HATE, let me re-emphasise that... HATE to come to a game like this, join an agency, get fat on cases then booted by the director cos I was high enough, especially if I had no clue what I was doing. Everyone has to learn somewhere, and if you believe you are right in ruining the game for newbies in this way then so be it. I'll have the straightjacket sent along post haste.

And I only take cash for the lost time.

@ctown28:

I wish you could see for yourself how are the THs done when ZO is still around, because I, the Director on ZO, indeed does 95\% of the favors, while helping new players to achieve what i hope them to achieve, so, its not true if you said that i whine about having only 3 active players in my current agency.

For the fact that you did not know, I didn't made any public recruitment advertisement to get players to join my agency. What I did was to hand-picked those whom I think could achieve the goal that I wish for them to achieve, and it was a good intention from me.

I can't believe an experienced player like yourself could say something like that.

@Jonny:

ZO's ex-players:
Jarrek Lander
flbluejay
Miinck
Rose Catherine
Catherine Rose
Clair74
Miss E.
Fixer
Sven Hjerson

Can you even find out about how long they have been in ZO before been booted out? Can you even realized how good they are with cases now? and for your info, I DID NOT GAVE THEM RTA, as i have better things to do at work (yes, i play at work to achieve what i got today).

So, for ONE LAST TIME, do not speculate something that you don't know. PLEASE.

I think I have it now, let me try again Joseph:

Zens Oracles=Empahsizes Enlightment for the student wehere the director is too lazy to do his own cases so he pawns tehm off on the newbies until they reach a status that may threaten his status and kick them out. Yes come to Zen where the Directors are lazy and you get as many benefits as the Idatarod sled racing dogs. Our whips snap softer.

Both of my Noir players are in agencies that excelled at Treasure Hunting. I have also personally once completed 3 hunts in a 6 hour window. I know enough about shades to know that you can only to 3 favours a day, so if you did 95\% of the favours then thats poor hunting performance. So far its hard to see that theres many people here that even know how to treasure hunt.

And actually, Joseph, I've spoken to a couple of your "ex-recruits." I know what you are like. You might stand high and mighty on your hill and tell people that you do things for the good of other players. But at the end of the day you are ruining the game, whether it is by spoiling it for new players, or the assanine posts you make on the message boards. Its self righteous people like you that ruin communities like this.

Now jump back on your high horse and go do badly in a Treasure Hunt.
