You probably wouldn't recgonise me under my current name. But does the title of Graeme Donald Severfield II ring a bell? Of course it does. After all, I used to be the son of the only multi-millionaire in the state- Severfield the First (who had a notorious reputation for being a tyrant.) Well, my father certainly did live up to that reputation. Old Severs Number One was ruthless. With his money, his time, and even his efforts. From the very beginning he could see I was different. I wasn't like my dad at all.

He didn't like that. So I ran away from home at the age of sixteen.

That's right. I left the family manor and all our wealth and riches. From that very moment, I was alone. By the age of 22 I had finally raked up enough money to live in that squalid little flophouse in Doylesburgh. Life was tough. It definitely wasn't luxury. At least, not until I discovered my gift. It was my (very) small group of friends who pointed it out to me first. They had noticed that I had a certain type of methodical thinking, despite my beggarly ways. I was also very observant. One of them, a reporter named Patricia who I had met in Hammett Square, suggested that I could use this gift in crime management. That's how I became a detective. It wasn't long before I had become good friends with the local police department. And as time went on, my skill grew. By the time I had turned 34, I was being entrusted with cases from some very illustrious personalities from around the country. My reputation was increasingly magnanimous.

And then I got the phonecall.

Apparently, HE had been murdered. My father. Was dead. Someone had very discreetly snuck into his private study, and stabbed him to death. My family had grown so desperate that they had taken drastic measures. They were asking me to take on the case. I accepted. The mystery wasn't too difficult anyway. I solved it in a matter of days. But my family were extremely appreciative. Since then, my relationship with them hasn't exactly been a warm one, but I do occasionally get a few generous donations of cash through the mail. With their money, and my clients' support, I can do anything. Bring on the mysteries!
