Detective TJ Sweet
Freelance Investigative Reporter
I Grew up never knowing who my parents where. I always wanted to be a investigative journalist. In my teenage years I started using my natural ability of investigating to learn who my parents where and what happened to them. I learned from a Priest Theordore Gonzales, my mother died shortly after I was born. I could tell by Father Gonzales body language, that he was either keeping something from me or he had darker secrets But I was sure I would learn what he was keeping secret from me.
I learned there are a lot of interesting people living here, townies as they liked to be called, trying to find out what happened to my mother. Until one day I was at the bar and chatting with an off duty beat cop and the bartender. I was approached by a very shady looking character, who told me she could get the information I needed But her services where not cheap and came at a hefty price. In order to earn the money, I started using my limited skills at sleuthing. Soon enough I made enough to buy the information I needed. I paid the price and was given a large envelope and some words of advice. I was told the contents of the envelope hold many secrets and that I may never figure everything out. But, if you do, be warned it isn't just your life at stake. I wanted to know, I had to know. I rented a cheap motel room. I sprawled the contents on the bed. There where several items hair sample, torn fabric, a gold necklace and a yellow sheet of paper. The yellow sheet was a letter, strangely it was addressed to me, it was a typewritten letter from my Mother kissed on the bottom with her lipstick. She didn't signed her name, it simply said "Dear Son, I don't know if you will ever get this letter. Please don't look for me as this would put both are lives in danger. Mom." Could it really be, could my mother still be alive. I decided to keep this all to myself, I would need to inspect and analysis the other clues on my own, but I didn't have the skills too. It was then I decided to continue sleuthing and learn the skills I needed. It took time but I learned many skills and took analysis training.
During the time I was doing cases, meeting new people or talking to the townies I was collecting evidence to compare to the items given me. It took me a while, as I gained more experience. I was able to match the hair, lipstick and torn fabric to my mother. She is very much alive and living among the many townies, For now I must keep her identity a sercert to keep us both alive. She will not me tell who my father is. She told me it was best to keep me a sercert from him. He is a very powerful man and has many powerful people working for him. She seems truly afraid of him. I was able to get from her some items that had belonged to him. I can't share them now so I keep them hidden away and I we not reveal them until I find out his identity. So for now my sleuthing continues....
